Digital Source & Bibliography
The National Diet Library portrait entry and the Wikimedia Commons file should be compared as records of the same depicted historical subject; this archive does not assume their scans are byte-identical. Publication dates must not be re-labeled as photography dates.
Rights Verification
Rights clearance is source-specific. This record documents NDL's published reuse guidance, not a private license or a guarantee regarding every other reproduction, modern re-edit, or downstream third-party material. Consult NDL reuse guidance ↗ and the linked website terms when publishing.
Historical Identity & Date Cautions
National Diet Library identifies the subject as Princess Kazunomiya (1846–1877), daughter of Emperor Ninkō and wife of shogun Tokugawa Iemochi. The listed book-publication years 1933–1935 concern later reproduction and indexing of historical source material, not the creation or capture date of the portrait. The NDL collection notes that some entries are photographs of paintings; this record therefore uses the neutral term historical portrait.

Artistic Adaptation
ALL THAT COINS may prepare a separately documented color restoration, tonal cleanup, crop, paper-holder label and background composition. Maintain a preserved original image, distinguish AI-restored or creatively recolored artwork from historical evidence, and retain files and prompts documenting the new design work.
Do not present a generated recoloring as the authentic coloration of a nineteenth-century portrait. Historic kimono patterns and the sitter’s posture should be preserved as closely as practical.
