Design and Context

Obverse · Republic

The head of Marianne faces left beneath a Phrygian cap. The Republic is identified by the surrounding national legend, and the engraver’s signature reads MORLON.

Reverse · Denomination

The numeral 2 and FRANCS denomination are balanced by two cornucopias. The reverse also carries the republican motto and the dated year 1934.

Textual design notes are independently written. No Numista or third-party coin photograph is embedded.
